Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his
seat among the elders of the land.
Proverbs 31:23
To understand how God thinks about marriage we have to go back there at the beginning of everything, in the first couple, Adam and Eve, remember when Jesus was asked about divorce? He said: in the beginning it was not so (Matt.19:8). Jesus was saying go back there at the beginning to understand how God wants things to work.
God first created Adam, and suddenly he began to observe him and realized that Adam walked a little sad then the Lord spoke a shocking word before creating the woman:
And the LORD said,
"It is not good for the man to be alone.
I will make a helper suitable for him." (Gen 2:8)
The Lord God looked at Adam and saw that it was not good; it was not satisfactory for the man to live alone, and to create the woman he thought of someone who would help.
Helping is one of the main reasons why God created woman, God acknowledged that although Adam was strong and perfect somehow he needed help.
God could have said it's not good for a man to live alone; I'm going to make him someone who is his lover, his girlfriend, his friend or even his life mate, but no! God decided to create a helper.
A married woman who does not understand the role that God has given her alongside her husband will never be able to enjoy a wonderful marriage.
Actually we women do not think like that when we get married:
God is giving me a man who needs my help.
We have the following expectation:
God is giving me a man who will love me, will take care of me,
everything will be very romantic.
So when we find out that the man we marry is needy and needs help, otherwise he ends getting into trouble, we sort of disappoint.
There are many women who also reject this helping role; they think it has no value. They want the leading role of the leader then when they marry, life as a couple becomes a relentless competition because she wants to occupy a position that God has not established.
There are also women who finds out that their man is needy and in need of help she simply takes his position in an attempt to help but she ends up being the man of the house and this destroys any relationship because he stops desiring her as a woman to admire her as a mother.
Well, I do not know what attitude you are living to this day in your marriage, but I want to motivate you to live the role that God has established in marriage, after all if it was he who created us and who invented marriage, for sure he has the knowledge to define who should be who in this story, right?
God says in his word:
"Woe to those who quarrel with their Maker, those who are nothing but potsherds among the potsherds on the ground. Does the clay say to the potter, 'What are you making?' Does your work say, 'The potter has no hands'?
Isaiah 45:9
Every woman who rejects the instruction of God and wants to act in a contrary way established by him suffers serious consequences.
However, you, the woman who discovered that in her own way did not work very well and that now wants to do in God's way and realized the greatness of being a helping woman, I want to tell you that your husband's success depends a lot on you.
Who is your husband? Rate him now
Is he an important man? Is he one of the main citizens of your city? He is a prosperous man, he is a man of integrity, perhaps even to society he is a successful man, but to you, in his intimacy he is an alcoholic, an addict or an adulterer.
Maybe he's a financial loser, an indebted, a dishonest man, a liar, a man with no expectation of the future.
You know the model woman in proverb 31 says that her husband is one of the city's top citizens and she talks as if she knows he has that success because of her.
Woman of God you can also be a helper and declare like this woman:
My husband (name of his spouse) is one of the main citizens in the city of (name of his city).
Maybe you cannot even say these words because they seem impossible, but God's woman, you're going to close your eyes and believe in the impossible now and imagine your well-dressed husband, a prosperous man, a man of God in the church, let's go imagine, we women of God have the mind of Christ and we are not limited to what our flesh eyes are seeing, so imagine him a successful man and repeat with faith that prophetic word about his life.
My husband (name of his spouse) is one of the main citizens in the city of (name of his city).
This is the first step for your husband to be a successful man, you release this prophetic word about your life, prophesy this word throughout this year, because it will be in that year that God will change the luck of the man that you love.
